What better way to spend time with your kids is there than to take your kids fishing. You have hours of meaningful time to talk and answer questions without the interruptions of everyday life. These times together will not only be memorable to your kids but the talks you have with them will help shape their lives for years to come.
Fishing is also an opportunity to teach our kids about nature and our dependency on it. How they can keep it clean and safe for others and the consequences if they don’t. The future of our resources is in the hands of our children. If taught early on in life they are more likely to become informed stewards of our natural resources.

While not as well known as many of the other salmon fishing spots in the United States such as Michigan, Washington and Alaska, Oregon salmon fishing offers an amazing virtually year round fishing experience. One of the most known Oregon salmon fishing events is the annual return of King salmon to the area. The south Oregon coast has over one hundred and eighty miles of coastline that is easily fished for huge fall King salmon, many weighing over thirty pounds. It is estimated that approximately 65,000 King salmon will be caught during the Oregon salmon fishing season.

Everyone seems fixated by fishing flavours. Commonly the question asked is “What flavour bait are you using?” For most fishermen, what matters is that they like their smell of their flavour, which is an interesting point for debate… The fact is among the diverse multitude of flavours used in fishing baits are some which stand out more than others, but few fishermen know how or why this is the case.

It seems to me that almost all trout anglers are looking for tips to help them catch more trout. In this article, I’m going to reveal some trout fishing tips for the average angler. None of these tips are rocket science, in fact most of them are simple. They were taught to me more than 20 years ago by the best trout fisherman I’ve ever known. He was the father of my best friend and he was quite a trout fisherman. As a matter of fact he caught trophy trout out of rivers and streams that other people didn’t think that trout that size lived in. When I refer to trophy trout, I’m referring to trout that were (and are) over twenty two inches long. When it comes to small rovers and streams, trout this size are trophies, at least in my book. In any case, these tips were used by him to help him catch large trout in areas that most people thought didn’t hold large trout.

Buying a boat is a serious financial commitment. For many people, it makes sense to rent one from time to time unless they are going to be on the water frequently.
There are many reasons why someone would chose to rent a boat versus buying one. For some, the cost of boat ownership is too high. They feel they would not use a boat often enough to justify the cost. For others, they might live in an area which is land locked but travel to the water for vacation. For these people, owning a boat would not make sense, but renting a boat is the perfect solution. Many companies or individuals rent boats for various time frames. This is perfect if you are planning a vacation or looking to impress a special someone.
