My grandmother was named Anita. She was my father’s mother and lived to the age of 94. From my earliest childhood memories, she was always cooking good food. All the adults used to call my grandmother Nita for short. My oldest cousin will tell you that when she was just learning to talk and she her one of my grandmother’s friends call her Nita. She would correct them and say no “My Ta” which became Mata and hence she was always Mata to all her grandchildren.

It is ok to eat like there is no tomorrow for an occasion, but what happens when we eat fatty, greasy foods everyday of our lives? All that cholesterol is not good for the human heart. HOW TO BLANCH ALMONDS
Put the almonds into a saucepan, cover with cold water, and bring to boiling-point; then remove from the fire. Drain and run cold water over them. Turn out on a coarse cloth and rub off the outer skins. Blanched almonds may be cut lengthways in shreds or strips, or they may be cut crossways in thin slices. They may be chopped by cutting across several times. Collect the pieces in a chopping bowl or on a chopping board, and with a broad-bladed knife or a chopper chop them as coarse or as fine as required. To split almonds, insert a pointed knife at one end and the nut will split in two.

Everywhere you look in a supermarket there are items marked “organic”. There is a lot of confusion at exactly what determines an item is organic food.
As consumers become more and more health conscious, organic food has increased in popularity exponentially. The future will see more and more products being marketed as organic food.
Where are organic foods found?
Organic foods can be found all over the world. Many people can find organically grown produce at their local farmers market as well as grocery stores. Organic foods are marked with a special USDA sticker certifying that the product is organically grown. Other countries employ a similar governing agency to regulate the growing procedures of animals, vegetables and fruits.

We have all been there right? In your coolest and most collected tone,
you say that you are looking forward to seeing your company soon, say your
goodbyes, and gently hang up the receiver. Ironically, as soon as you are
sure the phone has been properly placed on the hook you frantically
rally your husband and children to help you get the house in order. It is
now crunch time and you fly into “crisis mode” as you hurriedly assign a
cleaning task to everyone who has an opposable thumb! Your company
will arrive in less than a week and you have so much cleaning to do,
repairs to make, groceries to buy and the thought of spending time in the
kitchen baking “something special” to serve your guests sends you
into a panicked tailspin.
